I started sewing at 12 — on my grandmother's old machine, in a small room in our house. She taught me that a well-sewn garment is an act of love: you are saying to someone, "you deserve something made just for you."
Twenty years and over 340 garments later, that belief hasn't changed. What changed is my skill — and my conviction that fashion is not about keeping up. It's about showing up as yourself.
I founded By Nessa Designs in 2020 in Madison, Mississippi — to give people in the South access to the kind of bespoke craftsmanship you typically only find in coastal cities. Every garment I create is designed from scratch, sewn in-house, and fitted until it is exactly right.
